Adam L. Woodbury

Funeral services for Adam Woodbury, 28, of Terril will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 6 after 3:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Adam passed away Monday evening, March 3, west of Montgomery as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Adam Lowell Woodbury was born August 12, 1979 in Brookings, South Dakota, the son of Lowell and Wanda (Hieronimus) Woodbury. Adam grew up in Volga, South Dakota where he attended Sioux Valley Elementary and High School. He graduated as an honor student in 1998. After graduation, he attended South Dakota State University receiving a BA in Microbiology and a minor in Business, graduating in May, 2003. After graduation, Adam moved to Orange City, Iowa where he became a line superintendent for Advance Brand Foods. Shortly after this move, he married Sarah Everding on May 28, 2005 at Gull Point State Park. Sarah is a graduate from Brookings High School and South Dakota State University. In November of 2007, Adam and Sarah moved to Terril, Iowa where Adam began working with his dad doing construction at Woodbury Construction. Adam loved to fish, hunt and snowmobile. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and cruising the lakes of Okoboji with his friends and family. Adam was a man of many talents. Everything he did in life he did with a great amount of passion. He always led his life with compassion, love and kindness towards all. Everyone he met became his friend. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Woodbury; parents, Lowell and Wanda Woodbury; sister, Stacy Sahr, her husband, Paul and their three children, Kaig, Seth and Benjamin; grandparents, Roger and Dorothy Hieronimus and Rosie Woodbury; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Loren Woodbury.
