Alene Lavone Leyson Eckard

A graveside service for Alene Leyson Eckard, age 79, of Milford, will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at Milford Cemetery. Alene Lavone Leyson Eckard was born March 26, 1937 in Milford, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Ethel (Donovan) Leyson. She was raised and educated in Milford, graduating from Milford Community School. Alene was united in marriage to Duane Eckard. The couple made their home in Milford, where they raised their three children, Lavone, Ray and Shelly. Alene passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at her home in Milford. She is survived by her husband, Duane; children, Lavone Pittler and her husband, Larry, Ray Eckard and his wife Nancy and Shelly Gifford and her husband, Gary. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel Leyson.
