Amelia Estrada

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford for Amelia Estrada, age 72. Amelia Estrada, the daughter of Raquel (Rocha) and Pedro Estrada was born March 25, 1941 in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from St. Agnes High School in Los Angeles, California. After graduation, Amelia worked as a teacher and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Milford, Iowa in 2013. In her younger years, she enjoyed knitting blankets, dancing, all types of music and spending time with her family. She worked hard her whole life providing for her children. She was very loving, nurturing, kind and very generous with all that she had. Amelia passed away December 5, 2013 at the Lake Park Care Center at seventy-two years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Leticia Watkins; grandchildren, Julian, Arielle, Corinne, Richard and Marilyn; brother, Carlos and sisters, Mercedez and Carolina. She was preceded in death by her mother, Raquel Estrada and her son, Salvador Estrada.
