Avonne Clark

July 15, 1925 — August 17, 2016

A funeral service for Avonne "Bonnie" Clark, age 91, of Harris, will be on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:30am at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 21st after 3:00pm with the family present from 3:00-5:00pm at the church. There will be a Eastern Star Service following the visitation at 5:00pm. Avonne "Bonnie" Mae Clark, the daughter of Ruth Louise (Davison) and Arthur George Tott, was born July 15, 1925 in Sibley, Iowa. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School. On August 25, 1946, Bonnie was united in marriage to Lynn H. Clark in Spirit Lake, Iowa. They lived their entire married life in the Lake Park area until Bonnie moved to Harris in 2010. Bonnie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park, a fifty year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Presbyterian Women and Morning Circle. She was also a member of Merry Macs, Federated Womens Club and card club. She enjoyed singing, reading, sewing, camping, bird watching, cards and socializing. Bonnie passed away August 17, 2016 at the Country View Manor in Sibley, Iowa at ninety-one years of age. She is survived by her children, Linda (Don) Breuker of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Cynthia (Dennis) VandeHoef of Harris, Iowa, John Clark of Madison, Wisconsin, Matthew (Christie) Clark of Wausau, Wisconsin and Andrew (Connie) Clark of Lake Park, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jana and Gerald Zahren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Tott; her beloved husband, Lynn; one sister, Patty Loers and one brother-in-law, Lloyd Loers.
