Becky Berg

A memorial service for Becky Berg, age 76, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Visitation will be on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church. 

Becky Lynn Berg, 76, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at Ruthven Community Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa.

Becky was born on April 23, 1948, in Hartley, Iowa, to Raymond and Lois (Bracker) Trojahn. At the age of two, her family moved to Texas, where Becky graduated from high school and continued her education at Tyler Jr. College. In the fall of 1967, Becky moved to Spirit Lake and in 1968 was united in marriage to Larry Berg in Spirit Lake, where they built a life together.

Becky spent her career doing secretarial work and dedicated 16 seasons of service to Lutheran Lakeside Camp, where she formed lifelong friendships. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, especially tending to her beloved flowers, cooking, and baking. Becky also had a deep love for animals and cherished the companionship of many pets over the years. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends, including her cherished Tuesday girls’ coffee group.

Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to those who lovingly cared for Becky in her final days.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Berg; son, Eric (Angela) Berg; son, Bryan (Kristin) Berg; granddaughter, Eva Berg; sister, Nancy Huber; sister, Billy Hartman; many cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as friends.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
