Becky Caroline (Voigt) Holmes, 72, passed away on September 16, 2021.

Becky was born the daughter of Dr. Virgil And Erma Voigt on April 16, 1949. Becky graduated from Harris- Lake Park High School and attended Iowa lakes Community College and later Minnesota West Community & Technical College in Jackson where she was also an educator.

Becky spent many years working as an office administrator for her father and later worked at Bedford Industries along side her loving husband of over 30 years, Mike Holmes. They shared a loving and respectful marriage and were each other’s best friends.

Becky shared many interests with her husband Mike such as gardening and canning and they simply loved being together. She also had a great interest and passion for history and ancestry so, she spent years building her family tree and writing a book. She enjoyed cooking dinners, good conversations and spending holidays with her brother-in-law, Dale and his wife Anita.

Becky also had a daughter, Gabriella (Becky) Voigt- Cinquemani of Yonkers, NY whom she cherished and was a loving and devoted mother. She spent many years as a Sunday school teacher, a Girl Scout leader, had a ceramic shop and adored her students.

Becky and little Becky, as she was called as a child, loved going for bike rides, playing tennis and loved animals. She taught her daughter to appreciate art and was talented at sewing, knitting, baking and many arts and crafts.

Becky always encouraged her daughter to dream big and follow those dreams. She was her number one cheerleader and very proud of her. She also had a son-in- law, Salvatore and they always has a lot of fun joking around and making each other laugh.

She was a loving daughter, wife and mother who was extremely caring, selfless, kindhearted, giving and always put others before herself. She loved deeply and was in return loved deeply by her family.

Becky enjoyed reminiscing about her trip to Paris she took as a young woman and the time she took her daughter to the World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She will be forever missed and loved because she made an impact on many people, especially her extended New York family, related to her through her son-in-law. Pina, Maria and Serena were like sisters to her and she loved them dearly. She found joy in getting fun unique gifts for her beautiful great neices and nephews who lovingly called her Auntie Becky which she absolutely adored.
