Bernell Walker

A funeral service for Bud Walker, age 86, of Lake Park, will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 4th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Bernell "Bud" Henry Walker, the son of Evelyn (Voss) and Henry Walker, was born May 12, 1931 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Bud was raised in Lake Park, Iowa, graduating from Lake Park High School. On June 29, 1951, Bud was united in marriage to Betty (Hansen) Walker in Rost Township. The couple made their home near Lake Park where Bud farmed his entire life. Bud enjoyed farming, visiting with friends and was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. Bud passed away April 2, 2018 at Accura Healthcare in Milford, Iowa at eighty-six years of age. He is survived by his children, Bruce Walker and Bernita (Jim) Andersen; grandchildren, Amy Walker, Lisa (Wade) Mustard, Jason Walker, Michael (Lisa) Andersen and Melissa (Bobby) Desai; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel Dressel, Mathew Mustard, Lucy, John, and Henry Andersen, Rowen and Jaya Desai. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Brian; parents, Henry and Evelyn Walker.
