Betty Morgan

A funeral service for Betty Morgan, 90, of Spencer and formerly of Milford, will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2:00pm at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Burial will be at Spirit Lake Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, January 2, 2017 after 4:00pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Betty Jean Morgan, the daughter of Bertha (Rudin) and John Senn, was born September 28, 1926 in May City, Iowa. In 1954, Betty was married to Gerrit Roelofsen and in 1963 was united in marriage to Alvin "Shorty" Morgan in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Betty worked at Berkley's for thirty-two years before retiring in 1991. She has lived in Milford, Iowa for fifty-nine years and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Betty passed away December 30, 2016 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa at ninety years of age. She is survived by her son-in-law, Gale Igou of Spencer, Iowa; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Alvin "Shorty" Morgan; her parents; one daughter, Sandy Igou; two sons; two sisters and four brothers.
