Beverly Downing

Visitation: Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home Funeral: Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:30pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home Burial: Milford Cemetery Beverly JoAnn Downing was born June 29, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Clare and Harold Lander. She attended East High School and was married to Arthur Dean Downing on March 4, 1948 in Des Moines. Beverly lived in Des Moines and Long Beach, California before moving to Milford in 1969. Beverly enjoyed going to garage and yard sales and loved the challenge of putting puzzles together. She enjoyed gambling, spending time with friends and watching her favorite television shows. She served as a volunteer in Milford and received an award of Recognition and Appreciation in 1991. Beverly passed away October 17, 2012 at the Milford Nursing Center at eighty years of age. She is survived by her husband, Dean Downing; two children, Danny and David and one daughter-in-law, Dona; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Clare Lander; daughter, Vicky Downing; son, Jeffrey Downing; sisters, Rose and Burt; brothers, Russell, Jimmy and Billy.
