Beverly Mae Looft, 83, of Spirit Lake died August 17, 2008 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
The Dunnell, Minnesota native was born to the late Hans and Hattie Petersen on August 7, 1925. Bev married Verle Looft on January 16, 1945 in Fairmont, Minnesota. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake where she and her husband were custodians for twenty-five years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verle, and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sister, Viola Kelly of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Sue Haburn and her husband, Lyle, of Spirit Lake; two sons, Gary Looft and his wife, Claudia, of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Dale Looft and his wife, Gail, of Montgomery, Minnesota; four granddaughters, Kim Haburn of Spirit Lake, Misty Foster of Montgomery, Tammy Eastman and her husband, Barry, of Loveland, Colorado and Teresa Looft of Fruita, Colorado; three grandsons, Michael Looft and his wife, Katie, of St. Peter, Minnesota, Tyler Looft and his wife, Sherry, of Tyler, Minnesota and Greg Looft and his wife, Natalie of Grand Junction, Colorado; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Harriet Von Bank of Sherburn, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Don Looft of Armstrong.
