Bill Svendsen

William (Bill) Ray Svendsen was born February 5, 1947 in Milford, Iowa to Dale and Margaret (Askeland) Svendsen. He graduated from high school and attended two years of college. He worked for John Morrell as a truck driver and also worked in heating and air conditioning. Bill lived in Spirit Lake and for the last twelve years resided in Milford. Bill passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on May 30, 2012 at the age of sixty-five years. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Margaret Svendsen from Milford, Iowa; children, Trent Svendsen from Luverne, Minnesota, Dawn (Ron) Dorschner from Worthington, Minnesota; grandchildren, Stephen, Gabriel and Bethany Dorschner; brother-in-law, Larry Miller from Lakefield, Minnesota; two nephews and one niece; Donna Haffner and Jean Svendsen. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Dale Svendsen, and sister, Carla Miller.
