Bonnie Lou Gatton

A funeral service for Bonnie Gatton, age 62, of Spirit Lake, will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 10:30am at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene, Iowa at 3:00pm. Visitation will be on Monday, October 27th from 4:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Bonnie Lou Gatton was born November 9, 1951 in Charles City, Iowa to Walter and Arlene Hemmerich and died peacefully on Friday October 24, 2014 at her home. She received her education in country school in Greene, Iowa. On November 1, 1975 she was united in marriage to Harry Gatton in Nashua, Iowa. They then resided in Harris, Iowa until his death on June 30, 1994. Since his death she had made her home in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Bonnie will be remembered for loving her coffee, country music, and dancing. She enjoyed her friends at Echo Plus and her housemates. Her sense of humor was enjoyed by others. Her personality will always be remembered for her last minute decisions. Living family members include two aunts, one uncle, and a few cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Mary Ellen Hemmerich. Kind expressions of sympathy offered to all who knew her.
