Mass of Christian Burial for Bonnie Heim, 63, of Okoboji will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 17, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will begin at 5 pm Friday, February 16, 2018, with the family present fro 5-6 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. A Parish Scripture Service will follow at 6 pm.
Bonnie Jean Heim, the daughter of Linus and Mardella (Meister) Roth, was born June 30, 1954 in Carroll, Iowa. She attended Carroll Kuemper Catholic School and then traveled the western states eventually making it back to the Lakes area. Bonnie moved to Windom, Minnesota where she worked at Toro for many years. She later moved back to the Lakes area where she lived in Okoboji, Iowa, continuing her employment at West Oaks in Arnolds Park, Iowa.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, casinos, decorating for holidays and spending time with her grandkids.
Bonnie passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 12, 2018 at sixty-three years of age.
She is survived by her special friend, Bill Thiesen; daughters, Angela (Heim) Fodness and Carrie (Heim) Franklin; grandchildren, Nicklas Fodness, Samantha Fodness, Makayla Heim and Dakota Carey; sister, Beverly Brown (Lee); several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends she had yet to meet.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Linus and Mardella; sister-in-law, Renae Roth; brother, James Roth; niece, Amy Brown; and several other family members awaiting to greet her.
