Bonnie Overocker was born September 15, 1937, the daughter of Wesley and Bea (Rust) DeWall in Spencer, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Spencer.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Lyle Overocker on September 15, 1955 in Spencer. The couple made their home on the family farm near Milford, where they raised their family.
Bonnie was a member of Union Memorial Church in Milford. She kept active by helping on the family farm by cooking meals, running errands and taking pride in her home. Bonnie volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital/Lakes Regional Heathcare, for several years. She loved getting to know people, planning special celebrations and holidays and animals. She also enjoyed watching old time movies as well as solving word search puzzles. The greatest joy in her life was the love and companionship of her husband, daughters and granddaughter.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Lyle; daughters, Terry Overocker of Milford, Tammy "TJ" Overocker of Spencer and Colleen Overocker of Thornton, Colorado; and a granddaughter, Chelsie Overocker of Huntington Beach, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bea and Wesley DeWall, brothers, Leonard DeWall, Virgil De Wall and Donald "Dusty" DeWall.
Memorial contributions in memory of Bonnie may be directed to the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa.
