During his formative years, Bradley demonstrated a strong work ethic and took on various responsibilities. He spent his high school years employed at the Coke Plant in Spirit Lake.

In 1977, Bradley graduated at the top of his class from Spirit Lake High School, a testament to his intellectual abilities and dedication to his studies. Following his graduation, he pursued higher education at Iowa State University, where he obtained a nursing degree. This marked the beginning of a lifelong career in the medical field, where Bradley would touch the lives of many.

Over the years, Bradley held several vital positions in healthcare. He served as an EMT at Dickinson County Hospital, providing critical care and support to those in need. He later worked as a registered nurse at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where his compassion and expertise made a significant impact on countless patients and their families. Bradley's dedication to the well-being of others extended to his role as a feeder at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.

Bradley was not only committed to his professional responsibilities but also to his faith and the pursuit of spiritual growth. He enjoyed attending church, and his devotion to his beliefs was evident in his efforts to reach out to the unsaved, sharing his faith and love with others.

When Bradley wasn't working, he found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he cherished deeply. Known for his kind and caring nature, Bradley had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Bradley is survived by his two loving sisters, Cindy Axtell (Jerry) of Havelock, Iowa, and Debra Benton (Franklin) of Walterboro, South Carolina, along with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Violet VanPelt; his brother, Arnold VanPelt; and his great-niece, Brianna VanPelt.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Daunyale Sporaa and the staff at Emmetsburg Care Center for their exceptional care of Bradley during his time of need.
