Bridget Wilcox Baird

A visitation for Bridget will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. 

Bridget Lee Wilcox Baird, 45, of Milford, passed away on February 7, 2025. She was born on February 10, 1979, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, to Linda Morphew and Gary Wilcox. She also known by her nickname “Bird”, which her brother gave to her in their childhood. This name stuck with her throughout her life.

Bridget grew up in the lakes area and graduated from Okoboji High School. She spent her life in Spirit Lake, Milford, and Austin, Pennsylvania, making Milford home in November of 2021. On February 6, 2019, she was united in marriage to Shawn Baird in Milford. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Bridget worked as a housekeeper and found joy in crafting, photography, and shopping. She had a deep love for music, attending concerts, and traveling to explore history and new places. Above all, Bridget cherished time with her family. She and her children, Nicholas and Sophia, shared a special bond, and she was happiest when with them. Her kindness and love were evident in everything she did. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and owls, small tokens of the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.

Bridget is survived by her children, Nicholas Camp and Sophia Wilcox; her parents, Linda Morphew and Gary Wilcox; her siblings, Deanna Watkins and her children, Jared, Heath, and Brittany; Dawn Swartzbaugh (Brad) and their children, Michael and Ryan; Denise Lorenzen and her children, Desiree and Jesse; Bradley Wilcox (Sara) and children, Dakota, Austin, and Elizabeth, and step-children, Colten, Emilee and Nathan; and Brandon Wilcox and his daughter, Alexis. She is also survived by her former husband, Shawn Baird, and stepsons, Foster and Hunter, along with many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her brother, Douglas; and niece, Destiny.
