Bruce Bruns

Services will be 11 am Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin after 4 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with the family present from 5-7 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Bruce Alan Bruns, son of June Rose (Trojahn) and Irel Don Bruns, was born June 5, 1954 in Spencer, Iowa. Bruce graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1972 and then attended Western Iowa Tech. Bruce lived in Superior for the past thirty years. He worked as a factory worker and recently worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed computers, riding motorcycles, reading, visiting with people and watching the History Channel. He loved to hang out at Buck's Pub in Spirit Lake and the Softail Saloon in Superior. He loved his mom's home-cooking and enjoyed his daily visits with his mom and dad. Bruce passed away November 29, 2013 at fifty-nine years of age. He is survived by his parents, Irel and June Bruns; sisters, Roxanne (Gary) Roan of Sioux City, Iowa and Elizabeth (Troy) Graves of Carson, Iowa; niece, Callie Roan; nephews, Josh and Garrett Graves; step-nephew, Brady (Courtney) Roan; step-niece, Marci (Ben) Roan- Polk; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Nina Bruns and John and Ella Trojahn.
