Carl Jon Poss

Carl Jon Poss was born September 20, 1951 in Sibley, Iowa the son of Art Otto and Dixie Lea Weiland. Jon was raised and educated in Sibley. After his education, Jon entered the US Army and later the US Navy until receiving an Honorable Discharge on June 7, 1984. For several years, Jon worked as a truck driver. Recently, he was employed as a production worker at Polaris, Inc. in Spirit Lake. Jon enjoyed being outdoors, especially boating and hunting. Additionally, he enjoyed playing pool and darts, singing karaoke, listening to country music and Elvis Presley, driving truck and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with family and friends. Jon passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his home in Milford at fifty-seven years of age. He is survived by his sons, Brandon, Josh, Aaron Jon and Jon, Jr.; grandmother, Laila Schroeder; brother, Craig Poss; nephews, nieces and other family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dixie Lea Rea and brother, Larry Lee Poss. Service
