Cecilia Stevens

There will be a Memorial gathering and luncheon for Cecilia "Babe" Stevens, age 75, of Milford and formerly of Sioux City, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 11 am - 1pm at Carey's Cafe in Cherokee. Cecilia M. Stevens (Babe), 75, passed away at her home in Milford, Iowa on January 3, 2017, formerly Cecilia Risner of Sioux City, Iowa. She was born on April 10, 1941 to Eunice and Eldon Risner. She married Macie Horton in 1957. Together, the two had five children: Cindy Horton of Cherokee, Iowa, Laura Paeper (Mike) of Milford, Iowa, Mark Horton (Denise) of Cherokee, Iowa, Monte Horton or South Sioux City, Nebraska and Marla Morrow (Chad) of Cushing, Iowa. And later in 1983 she married Thomas Stevens. Together, they had a son, Shannon Stevens (Rhonda) of Sioux City, Iowa. Survivors include four brothers: Cecil Risner (Delores) of Sioux City, Iowa; Edward Risner (Sharon) of Dakota City, Nebraska; Arther Risner (Diane) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Robin Risner (Mary) of Sioux City, Iowa. One sister, Patricia Gereau (Terry) of Torrance, California. All six children; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by both parents, her two husbands, aunts, uncles, her brother, Alan Risner, a sister Sheila, a borther-in-law Terry Gereau, a nephew Terry Lee Gereau and a grandson, Zachery. Cecilia loved get-togethers with family and friends, playing cards, bingo, and dancing. But most of all, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
