Cory Ritzer

Cory Allan Ritzer was born November 17, 1972 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Robert and Kathy (Haugen) Ritzer. Cory was raised and educated in Arnolds Park, graduating from Okoboji High School in 1991. Cory loved tinkering and fixing things ~ and occasionally breaking things. He also enjoyed fireworks, camping, singing and dancing and spending time with loved ones. Cory lived on the edge most of the time and his sense of humor will be missed by all. Cory passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at a Sioux Falls, SD hospital, as a result of injuries incurred on a job site. He is survived by his wife, Susan; brother, Jeff; and parents, Bob and Cathy Ritzer. He is also survived by Grandma and Grandpa Haugen; two uncles, Tom (Karen) Ritzer and Richard Ritzer; three aunts, Carol Ritzer, Deloris (Gary) Mathies and Judy (Tim) Bauer, two step-sons, Matthew (Amy) Gathercole and Michael Gathercole; twin step-grandsons, Sage and Sammy Gathercole; niece, Kiah Ritzer and many wonderful cousins and friends. Cory was preceded in death by his aunt, Sharon Rider, uncle, Larry Ritzer, grandparents, Art & Vi Ritzer, step-brother, Jim (Iona) Retzer, two great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers and one great-great grandmother.
