Craig Scott Larson

December 5, 1956 — February 4, 2010

Craig Scott Larson was born December 5, 1956, the son of Harvey and Ernestine Larson of Milford. He graduated from Milford High School in 1975 and Iowa Lakes Community College in 1977. Craig married his high school sweetheart Sally Schoning on April 7, 1979, and to this union, three children were born: Angela Rae, David Scott and Chad Matthew. Craig worked his entire career in Fostoria, first at Wonder Whip Company, Inc. as the general manager from 1976 to 1990, and then for Farmers Savings Bank as the cashier from 1990 until present. Craig enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, especially the years he coached his children and a special group of boys. For many years, he was a referee for junior high and high school basketball, baseball and softball. He also enjoyed biking, photography, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. Craig was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, and served as a trustee and deacon; he also served as president of the area Little League Assn. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, as well as the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. Craig passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010 , at the age of 53, after a courageous battle against cancer. He was preceded in death by infant son, David, and his grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sally of Milford; his children, Angela (Hunter) Halverson of Austin, TX; Chad (Kate) Larson of Houston, TX; parents Harvey and Ernestine Larson of Milford; two brothers: Brad (Marsha) Larson of Sioux Center; Jeff (Terri) Larson of Milford; two sisters: Heidi (Mike) Koopmeiners of Minneapolis; Darla (Randy) Thunstrom of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
