Craig Poss

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31st at 2:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, May 30th after 5:00pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Craig A. Poss Sr. of Milford, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the age of 58, after a seven year battle with cancer. Craig was born on January 31, 1956 in Spirit Lake, Iowa to Dixie and Richard Poss. He was preceded in death by Patty Poss, his wife of twenty-two years. Craig had lived in the Lakes region for most of his life. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 20 years and had owned the Outback Lounge in Milford since 1998. Craig loved spending time on his motorcycle and snowmobile, playing golf and working on his motorcycle and snowmobiles (which his kids broke numerous times), and telling people where they could find the best deal to buy whatever they were looking for on internet. He was very generous and would help anyone that needed it. He always had a smile on his face and his laugh was infectious. He has been involved in Relay for Life as well as Riley Rides, a fundraiser he started to raise money for the local Special Olympics. Craig is survived by his son Craig (Brenda) Poss, daughters Sheri Poss and Tracy (Arends) Vogelmeier, grandsons Riley and Zane, grandmother Laila Schroeder, and numerous nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his mother Dixie, father Richard, brothers Larry and Jon, sister Georgia, and granddaughter Jade.
