A Celebration Gathering for Dan Chapman, age 70, of Milford, Iowa, will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, at The Ritz in Arnolds Park.
Daniel Earl Chapman
, born on June 21, 1953, in Spencer, Iowa, peacefully passed away at Spencer Hospital on November 3, 2023, at the age of seventy. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories for those who knew him.
Born to parents Earl D. "Squeeg" and Ruth Ann Wade Chapman, Daniel was raised and educated in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School. He later moved to Milford, Iowa, where he found his passion for carpentry, displaying his talent and craftsmanship to all who had the privilege of witnessing it.
Daniel had an unwavering love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed motorcycle rides, treasured moments spent with friends, and enjoyed camping trips with his brother's families and his own. He found solace and exhilaration in hunting and fishing, and the serene moments spent boating at the Lakes brought happiness.
In his journey through life, Daniel was blessed with a loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Mobley, and her husband, Jason, of Spencer, along with their three children, Keegan, Jaiden and Karson. He is also survived by his son, Charlie Chapman of Spencer and his four children.
In addition to his children, Daniel is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth Chapman of Spencer and his brothers, Dave and his fiancée, Meg, of Minneapolis, Sam and his wife, Heidi, of Spencer and Paul and his wife, Connie, of Milford. His memory lives on through numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends who will forever hold cherished memories of their time spent with him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl D. "Squeeg" Chapman.
Daniel’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind and the memories of his joyous adventures will continue to bring comfort and love to all who knew him.
