Darlo Boone

A memorial service for Darlo Boone of Spirit Lake will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji, Iowa. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Darlo Anthony Boone was born in Orange City, Iowa on February 26, 1954 to Elden (Bud) and Elizabeth Boone of Hospers, Iowa. He had one sister, Doris. He was raised in Hospers, Iowa and graduated from Floyd Valley Community School. On October 6, 1973, Darlo married Jean (Even) Boone. They spent most of their lives in Sheldon, Iowa where they raised their children, Aaron and Jason Boone. Darlo loved the Lakes Area and the friends he made throughout his life. He worked as a tire sales manager for several years and enjoyed the people he worked with. Darlo passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa at sixty-three years of age. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents and grandparents. Darlo is survived by his sons, Aaron Boone and Jason Boone; daughter-in-law, Melissa; grandchildren, Emma, Alli and Jaxx.
