David James Lambert, 73, born on January 31, 1950 in Spirit Lake, IA and passed away in the morning of October 2, 2023. He was the second child of Lawrence and Louise Lambert. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School through the eighth grade and graduated from Milford High School in 1968. He attended the lowa Lakes Community College Farm Equipment program where he studied implement repair for 18 months. After graduation Dave worked at John Deere for six months then returned to Milford, where he worked for Gary and Elaine Green for two years. Dave was a farmer/mechanic and as he once said he was happiest when he had wrenches in his hands working on equipment. He worked in an auto and implement repair shop with Tim Derner prior to working for JI Case Tractor in Spencer. He later opened up his own implement repair shop, Lambert Farm Service in Milford, on a piece of land purchased from his father on the family farm.
Dave's hobbies included antique tractor rides with his tractor buddies on his Oliver 77 and participating in tractor pulls. He loved cars including a blue Chevelle SS396, a blue '57 Chevy and a classic red and white Chevy pickup and enjoyed his motorcycle rides.
Dave very much enjoyed spending time with his daughter Jalene and his grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his daughter Jalene (Som) Keokhamthong of Platte City, MO; fiancee Patty Youngstrom of Milford, IA; former wife Jolene Lambert of Guam; sister Mary Jo (Dick) Ruble, of Prior Lake, MN; brother Bill (Carleen) Lambert of Spirit Lake, IA; brother Tom (Bonnie) Lambert of Milford, IA; brother-in-law, Jeff Rolfes of Lake Park, IA; five grandchildren, Michela, Kaesi, Payton, Kobe and Kennedi; one great grandchild, Cohen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
