Diane Marie Monahan

Diane Marie Monahan, 63, passed away May 4 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Diane and her husband Bob were living their dream in Okoboji and Arnolds Park Iowa. Diane Nelson was united in marriage to Curt Maschino on 9/1/1973 where they were blessed with 3 children and later divorced. Then she met Bob Monahan and they married on 12/16/2011. She is survived by her children Tad Maschino (Lynne) of Castle Rock Colorado, Ty Maschino and his fiance Tena and Taylor Maschino, all of Ft. Dodge. And of course the sunshine of her life, her 6 grandchildren Jacie, Conley, Dax, Tavares, Mace and Brayla. She is also survived by her parents Bobbie and Bob Nelson of Garland, Texas, and her sister Vicki McGuire (Mike) and children of Kansas City. Step children Erin and T.J. Bouda and family from Ankeny Ia. Robbi and Kevin Wittrock and family of Audubon Ia. And Riley and Emily Monahan of Des Moines Ia. Also her special friend Linda Mericle and her extended family "The Shady Ladies". Diane requested no services but the family will be having a "Celebration of Life" for Diane on May 7 at 10 a.m. at the 4th Street Depot bar and grill in Ft. Dodge. Family and friends are invited to come and share their special memories of Diane. Any memorials can be made in Diane's name to a cancer center of your choice.
