Don Dressel

Donald James Dressel was born November 6, 1940 in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the son of Elmer and Myrtle (Kosek) Dressel. He graduated from Hutchinson High School, Jackson Vocational School in Jackson, Minnesota and Rhema Bible School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Don was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Bakken on March 17, 1962 at the United Methodist Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. He served as the pastor for Christian Family Worship Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He also was the director of Healing Rooms of the Iowa Great Lakes. Don was a believer of Jesus Christ being his personal Lord and Savior. His favorite verse was Romans 10: 9-10. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Life is for the moment, but eternity is forever. Don passed away on September 15, 2008 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa at sixty-seven years of age. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; four sons, DeNaldo Dressel of Lakefield, Minnesota, Donahue Dressel of Spirit Lake, Donovan (Imelda) Dressel of San Diego, California and Durand (Michelle) Dressel of Chatsworth, Illinois; four daughters, Doreen (Chris) Berger of Brewster, Minnesota, Dee (Doug) Bartosh of Heron Lake, Minnesota, Dorinda (Nyron, Sr.) Moore of Sanborn, Iowa, D'Lisha (Brian) Dressel of Springfield, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren; Detasha (Evan) Place, Ashley, Amanda and Matthew Bartosh, Renae and Hannah Langseth-Berger, Christina, Michal and Sonja Berger, Daniel Dressel, Jasmine, Nyron Jr. and Lyle Moore and Samair, his sponsored child from India He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one son-in-law, Martin James Langseth.
