Donna Gould

A funeral service for Donna Gould, age 77, of Milford, will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8th from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Donna Loy Gould was born April 10, 1939 in Spencer, Iowa to Don and Mildred (Knudson) Wilson. She grew up in the Milford area where she attended school at Okoboji Consolidated School. After graduation, Donna worked in the Lakes Area at Vacation Village. On July 6, 1959, she was married to Harlan Gould in Newport News, Virginia. They had two boys, Rick and Rod. After Harlan was discharged from the service, they moved back to Milford where Donna continued working at many of the resorts in the Lakes Area. The family lived on the farm west of Milford where Donna helped with chores and field work. The couple farmed for forty-six years before moving into town in 2006. Donna and Harlan enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling together and their time spent in Florida during their retirement years. Donna passed away November 5, 2016 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at seventy-seven years of age. She is survived by her husband, Harlan Gould of Milford; son, Rick (Susan) Gould and son, Rod Gould; two grandchildren, Samantha Gould and Alex (Kait) Gould; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Sawyer Gould; brothers and sisters-in-law, Loren and Jan Wilson and Mick and Betty Wilson; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
