Donna Kramer

A funeral service for Donna Kramer, age 55, of Superior, will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 1st from 4:00-7:00pm at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Donna Wahlman Kramer, the daughter of Loren and Elsie (Mertens) Wahlman, was born January 3, 1960, in Hampton, Iowa. She was the first born before her twin sister, Diana (Wahlman) Kinnetz. She left this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. She grew up living in Superior, Iowa, and attended school in Estherville where she earned her diploma. She was united in marriage to Roy Kramer shortly after graduation. During their marriage, she became the mother of two children, Angela J. Stauter (nee Kramer) and Timothy A. Kramer. While raising her two children, she attended ILCC and earned her advanced degree in nursing in 1986. She worked as an RN in Galveston, Texas, and at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She then earned her second degree at ILCC, this one for nursing home administration, going on to work as an RN in management at Valley Vue in Armstrong and Good Samaritan Center and Rosewood Manor in Estherville, Iowa. Standing beside her for seventeen years was the love of her life, Dean Murray. They enjoyed fishing, BBQ's, time with family, watching their children and grandchildren grow, and quiet time together. Left to cherish her memories are Dean Murray; Angie and Orlando Stauter and their children Devon, Zohie Elizabeth and Kato; Tim and Kara Kramer and their children Ian, Chris and Kaitlynn; Mindy and Jeff Griffith and their children, Jace, Jared, and Evan; Travis Murray; and siblings David (Linda) Wahlman, Diana Kinnetz, Susan Wahlman, Robert (Pat) Wahlman and Loretta Hazlett (Tor Dahl); Jackie Klien; and many more friends and all those lives she touched. Preceding her in death were her parents, Elsie and Loren Wahlman; in-laws Ardis and Charles Murray; nephew Todd Murray; sister-in-law Jean Murray; niece Mikayla Jordan and brother-in-law David Kinnetz.
