Donna Murray

A funeral service for Donna Murray, age 81, of Milford, will be held Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 16th from 4:00-6:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church. There will be a Rosary at 5:15 followed by a Scripture Service at 5:45 at the church. Madonna Marie Murray, the daughter of Lenora (Galles) and Daniel Raher, was born July 18, 1934 in Granville, Iowa. She attended St. Mary's School in Hawarden and St. Boniface in Sioux City before graduating from Bishop Heelan High School. On October 6, 1952, Donna was united in marriage to James Patrick Murray. Jim and Donna became co-owners with W.R. "Bill" Murray of Murray Drug in Milford. Donna was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford and the Dickinson County Board of Health. She enjoyed playing bridge, spending time with her friends and the Eat Out Club. Above all, she loved the time spent with her family. Donna passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa at eighty-one years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia C. Hayden (Bruce) of Garden Valley, California; son, Daniel J. Murray (Donna) of St. Robert, Missouri; daughter, Mary C. Lloyd (special friend, Tim Derner) of Milford, Iowa; son, Jason R. Murray (Shawna) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Aldridge and Noreen Burkholder. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in 2007; her parents; great-grandson, Tyler; three sisters and four brothers.
