Douglas Milton Taylor was born January 21, 1955 in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Duane and Janice (Mac Collin) Taylor. He graduated from Milford Community High School and continued his education at Morningside College and Iowa Lakes Community College.
Douglas worked as a truck driver for twenty-five years before returning to school two years ago. Douglas lived in Milford, Iowa, Fargo, North Dakota and Champaign, Illinois before moving back to the Iowa Great Lakes area three and a half years ago.
Douglas passed away July 15, 2010 at his home in Terril, Iowa at fifty-five years of age.
He is survived by his father, Duane M. Taylor of Milford; sister, Karen Taylor Burton and her husband, Richard of Sioux City; brother, Bill Taylor of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nephews, Charles Burton of Sioux City, Iowa, Edward Burton and Alexis Whittington of Natchez, Mississippi; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved westies, "Tinker" and "Tucker".
Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Mac Collin Taylor; maternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Mac Collin and paternal grandparents, Lottie and Erle Taylor
