A memorial service for Eureka "Ricky" Bridges, 93, will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Spencer. Visitation for Ricky will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. There will be a lunch following the service.
Eureka Dill (Noffsinger) Bridges was born to Herbert and Mary (Arnold) Noffsinger at their home on October 7, 1931, in Central City, Kentucky. She was born a blue baby who was just thrown on the table until the midwife saw she was alive and she saved her.
All her life, she dealt with cerebral palsy but never asked for help. She worked as a housekeeper and home health aide for many years for Dickinson County. She was placed in the care center due to illness, and in 2010, her husband, David, and her moved to Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. They were very loved and well cared for.
Ricky had a passion for sewing, creating beautiful quilts, bears, and dolls with her loving hands. These items can be found in homes all across the country, a reminder of Ricky's love.
Ricky passed away March 20, 2025, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie and many beautiful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, her husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
We have peace knowing we will see her again in heaven.
