Everett Ernest Jens Jensen was born August 22, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Jens and Florence (Reincke) Jensen. He completed his junior year in high school and received his GED at a later time.
On October 8, 1958, Everett was united in marriage to Betty Jane (Albers) in Battle Creek, Iowa. Everett owned a Feed and Implement Store for many years. The couple moved to Spirit Lake twelve years ago.
Everett was a member of the CB Club, Feed Advisory Councils, Northwest Iowa Polio Survivors, Outreach, TOPS and attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He loved to spend time with his wife, Betty, the rest of the family and going to church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, talking on the phone, going for lattes, listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, watching C-SPAN, boating and hunting. Everett never met a stranger!
Everett passed away on May 5, 2008 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at seventy-four years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Monte and Jo Jensen and their children, Jessica and Matthew, Sherry (Jensen) and Bob Testin and their children, Alex, Taylar and Kelly, Michelle (Jensen) and Todd Boerner and their children, Logan and Ethan; siblings, Donald Jensen and his wife, Dorothy, Rosella Mitchell and her husband, Bob, Virgil Jensen, Julianna Blume and her husband, Dennis, Randall Jensen and his wife, Colette; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Jens Jensen and his infant daughter, Ranae.
