Fama Jones was born on December 23, 1918 at Manes, Missouri the daughter of Daniel and Arizona Rowe. She was raised and educated in Manes, graduating as the Valedictorian from high school.
She was united in marriage to Jack M. Jones on April 19, 1938 in Manes. The couple made their home in Ames, Iowa before moving to Milford, Iowa in 1942.
She was a member of the Union Memorial Church in Milford. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, cards, flower arranging, snowmobiling and her family.
Fama passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Milford Nursing Center in Milford at eighty-eight years of age.
She is survived by a sister, Fyrell Kelly; children, Jenny Lee Jones and her husband, Michael Gordon, and Jack Wesley Jones and his wife Phyllis; grandchildren SunDee Ann Forsyth and her husband, Adam, and Daniel M. Jones; great grandson, Gabriel David Wesley Forsyth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arizona and Daniel Rowe, husband Dr. Jack M. Jones, brothers, Wayne Rowe, Lawrence Rowe and Cleon Rowe.
