Frank Doyle

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 10 after 4:00pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Francis "Frank" Doyle, the son Joseph and Anna Doyle, was born on January 20, 1935 in Graettinger, Iowa. He graduated from Ayrshire High School in 1953. On January 5, 1954, Frank was enlisted into the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in December, 1956. On January 6, 1959, Frank was united in marriage to Rosann Cunningham in Emmetsburg, Iowa. In 1962, the family moved to Milford where Frank worked as a TV repairman at Coast to Coast, a salesman at Randy's Meats and as a custodian at the St. Joseph's Parish. Frank was a member of the American Legion. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed dancing, polka music, camping, and traveling. He was known for his practical jokes and one of his favorite pastimes was relaxing in his sunroom. Frank passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at seventy nine years of age. Frank is survived by his wife, Rosann, son, Jerry (Tanya) Doyle of Spirit Lake and their daughter, Wren; daughter, Linda Doyle of Sante Fe, Texas; daughter, Susan (Gary) Simpler, of Derwood, Maryland and their son, Ian McKinley; daughter, Nancy (Dave) Anderson and their daughters, Camille and Makenzi and son, Riley; daughter, Connie Doyle of San Antonio, Texas and her son, Aiden; son, Roger Doyle of Terril, Iowa and his son, Dalton, and daughter, Isabel; two brothers, Emmet Doyle and Bob Doyle and one sister, Rita Rezabeck. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leo Doyle.
