Gary Phillips

Gary Grant Phillips passed away at the age of 86 on February 8, 2022 at Longhouse-Northshire in Spencer, Iowa.

He was born on November 17, 1935 in Spencer, Iowa the second child to Clarence (Jack) and Clara (Nelson) Phillips. 

His siblings are Ginger Petersen (deceased), Jackie Lynn Hart, Spencer, Iowa and Greg A Phillips, Mesa, Arizona. 

Gary spent most of his childhood in Deadwood, South Dakota. He returned in Spencer area in the late 1940s and graduated from Spencer High School in 1953. 

Gary and Linda Clouse were united in marriage August 17, 1957.

Gary is survived by his beloved Linda; two sons, Cody A. (Mary) Phillips of Irving, Texas and Gary W. (Dan) Phillips of Estherville, Iowa; grandson, Caleb A. Phillips of Irving, Texas; granddaughter, Ashley Phillips of Lewisville, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.

Gary was laid to rest at Eastside Memorial Cemetery in Estherville on October 25, 2024.
