George S. Johnson was born April 14, 1934 the son of Milo Ingram and Frances Viola (Murray) Johnson in Laurens, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Laurens, graduating from Laurens High School.
George was united in marriage to Joleen Romelle Johnson. They later divorced and he married Audrey Mae Fear at Nashua, Iowa.
George worked for Wells Blue Bunny as a milkman for several years. He was a member of Tabernacle of Praise in Pierre, South Dakota. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
George left this earth and was home with our Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday the twelfth of December, 2007 from the Golden Living Center in Pierre, South Dakota.
He is survived by his children, Kate Budzisz (Russ) of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Julie Mefferd (Larry) of Pierre, South Dakota, Dan Johnson of Austin, Minnesota; step-children, Robin Nelson of Parker, Colorado, Dan Fear (Nancy) of Milford, Jackie Anderson (Mark) of Milford. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Borland (Bill) of Johnston, Iowa and Marda Melohn (Marvin) of Albert City, Iowa.
