Gloria Christenson

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Gloria Christenson, 68, of Lake Park, Iowa will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Gloria S. Christenson was born August 15, 1949, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Hitchens) Thorn, in Lake Park, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Lake Park, graduating from Harris Lake Park High School. Gloria was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park, where she served as a Deacon. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and their activities. In early life, she was involved in Girl Scouts and was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Later, she was an Assistant District Commissioner for Boy Scouts. Gloria was adored by anyone and everyone that ever met her. Gloria passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Lakes Regional Heath Care in Spirit Lake at sixty-eight years of age. She is survived by her son, Scott Christenson (Tara), and daughter, Julie Christenson. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, Miranda and Hanna; sister, Linda Redemske (Charles); aunt, Ardith Ehret; sister-in-law, Roberta Thorn; cousins, many nieces and nephews along with many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Dorothy, and brother, Stephen Thorn.
