Gwendolyn Laurel Spencer, daughter of Kenneth and Beullah (Plymesser) Bell, was born on January 4, 1950 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School and attended college at South Dakota University.
Gwen worked as a manager in the hotel and restaurant business. She lived in Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arizona before moving back to Spirit Lake in 1994. Gwen attended the Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Gwen gave of herself unselfishly and was loved and admired by many friends. Her faith kept her strong through hard times. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Spencer, Levi Spencer and Kelsie Williams; one grand-daughter, Trinity Williams; special friend, Clarence Cody.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Beulah Bell as well as her brothers, Jerry and Charlie.
