Harvey Leroy Snow was born March 9, 1920 at Lake Park, Iowa to Andrew Alfred Snow and Olive Myrtle Baker Snow, the youngest of 8 children. The family lived on the shores of Silver Lake, Lake Park. He graduated from Lake Park High School in 1938.
On August 15, 1941 he was married to Bonnie McFarland at Worthington, MN. Harvey served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator on a bomber crew during WWll.
Harvey was self employed as a Snapper mower dealer for most of his life and for many years had a small engine repair shop. They lived for 30 years on Silver Lake before moving to a senior apartment in Lake Park. Last November they both moved to the Milford Nursing Center.
Special interests were the Atlanta Braves and fly fishing in the Big horn Mountains of Wyoming.
Harvey died August 2, 2007 at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; children, Bonnie Manitz (Don) of Milford, Nancy Jensen (Jerry) of Rochester, MN and Steven (Sam) Snow (Jan) of Lake Park, IA; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew, Daryl and Lloyd; and 4 sisters, Bessie, Wava, Loree and Eileen.
