Helen Roth

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be on Friday, April 11th from 5:00-7:00pm at St. Joseph Parish Center. There will be a Parish Rosary held at 6:30pm. Helen M. (Kramer) Roth was born March 5, 1918 at Maple River, Iowa to Nick and Mary Kramer. She attended school through the eighth grade. On October 6, 1936, she married Leo Roth at Maple River, Iowa. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker when the couple lived at Carroll, Terril, Milford, and Spirit Lake where they farmed. After farming the family moved to Omaha. Upon moving to Arnolds Park, Helen enjoyed working at the family resort known as Helen's HideAway. Helen enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing, trapping, taking care of the birds, traveling, family, and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering and helping others Helen passed away at her home on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of ninety-six. Left to cherish her memory include daughter Mary Lou Schroeder of Milford, son Paul Roth (Patty) of Arnolds Park, daughter-in-law Eula Roth of Spirit Lake, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, sister Imeldia Roth of Spencer, brother Earl Kramer (Dorothy) of Carroll, nieces and nephews. Preceding Helen in death include her husband, son, son-in-law, parents, three brothers, and her brother-in-law.
