Herb Mills

A funeral service for Herb Mills, age 85, of Spirit Lake, will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford with Father Thomas Flanagan officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 4th after 3:00pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. A prayer service will follow. Herbert Arthur Mills, 85, of Spirit Lake, Iowa passed away Saturday, November 1st, 2014, at the Abben Cancer Center following illness. Herbert was born February 11, 1929, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of John Harvey Mills and Annie Forshaw Mills. He married Rose Elaine Drey, June 4th, 1951 in Early, Iowa. Herb was business owner of Mills Auto Body/Upholstery/Sports Center for 33 years. He also enjoyed painting, sketching, and woodworking. Herb and Elaine's family include his five sons and two daughters; Steve Mills (Mary), Larry Mills (Cindi), Gayle Farmer (Steve), Bruce Mills (Mary), Jeanette Jurrens (Doug), Kevin Mills (Wendy), Gary Mills (Candee), and 14 grandchildren.
