Ina Ringler

Funeral services for Ina Ringler, 97, of Spirit Lake, will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 5 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, with the family present from 5-7 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Ina Ringler, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2017. She was born August 8, 1920, in Slatyon, MN to Charles and Theresa Ostheimer. Her early years were spent in Estherville, IA where she graduated with honors from Estherville High School. In April of 1938 she married Richard Ringler and moved to the Lake Park area where they spent most of their married years. To this union, five children were born: Arlene (Dan) Davis, Marlys (Steve) Weed, Wilma (Tony) Thier, Kenneth (Rosemary) Ringler and Richard Jr. (Patty) Ringler. Ina worked at Berkley and Company for 17 years and after her retirement she enjoyed gardening, golfing and traveling. Her love of babies led her to volunteer at the Time Out Nursery where she received the honor of Woman of the Year. Ina is survived by her five children, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and her special friends, John and Sue Crosby. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, nine siblings, one grandson and one granddaughter.
