Jean Mc Knight

Graveside services for Jean McKnight, age 79, of Spirit Lake and formerly of Fairmont, Minnesota, will be held at a later date. Jean Joann McKnight, age 79, entered into God's Holy Kingdom on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was born May 27, 1936 to John and Johannah (Knuth) McKnight at Jackson, Minnesota. She was raised in Lakefield, Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1954. She continued her education in nursing and worked for many years, the last being at Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont, Minnesota for 36 ½ years. She was a very caring nurse and it was her joy in life. After retirement in 1998 she moved to Lakefield and later to Spirit Lake where she has resided for the past ten years. She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in rural Worthington. She was baptized June 14, 1936 and confirmed on June 5, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her twin sister, Joan of Spirit Lake and many cousins including, Donna Tifft and her husband, Lowell and their families of Spirit Lake.
