Jean Dolores Robbins was born December 15, 1928, the daughter of Dewey and Nelle (Hammer) Landeck. Jean was raised and educated in Sioux City. She attended Methodist Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1950.
Jean was united in marriage to Dale R. Robbins on September 16, 1950 in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City before moving to Los Angles, California, where they resided until 1980, when they moved to Spirit Lake.
The couple owned and operated the "Dutch Lunch" in uptown Spirit Lake, where Jean was the pie maker. Jean was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. She collected dolls, stuffed animals and ice cream cones. She also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments items.
Jean passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa at eighty-two years of age.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Dale; children, Ronald W. Robbins and Linda Robbins; daughter-in-law, Zenda Robbins; grandchildren Crystal and Keaton; sisters, Lois Bradley and Jan Caldwell; niece, Donnelle De Raad; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Daniel Warren Robbins.
