Jeanette Pauline Roseberry, daughter of Mildred (Braucher) and Paul Koch, was born September 12, 1942 in Canby, Minnesota. After graduating from Canby High School in 1960, she continued her education at Moorhead State University, graduating in 1964.
She was married to Bernard Schons on June 12, 1965. After Bernard passed away in 1983, she raised her two sons, Steve and Scott, as a single mother. Jeanette and Doug met at a dance in Okoboji, Iowa in 1988 and have been dancing together since. They married and purchased a shipping supply business in Fort Collins Colorado in 1990. Jeanette and Doug owned/operated JDT Shippers Supply and loved living in Colorado for fifteen years before moving back to the Midwest to be closer to family. Together, they have six children, sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Holiday get-togethers and mini-reunions were special for all. Her strong faith and courage has been an inspiration for everyone close to her.
She was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, MN. Jeanette enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, needlepoint, theatre, stage performances, bird watching and traveling to the mountains, specifically the Rocky Mountain National Park. She loved to watch the Rams of Colorado State University and best of all was a good "brisk" walk, almost to the point of "catch me if you can!"
Jeanette passed away October 1, 2015 at the Ruthven Care Center at seventy-three years of age.
