Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Spirit Lake at 1:30 pm. A visitation with family present will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park, Iowa. James Marion Jones, the son of Caroline (Utley) and Larry Jones, was born March 15, 1964 in Spencer, Iowa. Jim was raised south of Spencer and graduated from Gillett Grove High School in 1982. On March 10, 1984, Jim was married to Kellie Moriarty in Spencer, Iowa. He worked for Cohrs Construction for over twenty years as a heavy machine operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his time coaching his sons in youth football. Jim loved the outdoors, whether it was camping with the family or hunting. He spent many hours hunting deer, geese, pheasant and duck, which was his favorite to hunt. He also enjoyed watching old movies over and over, John Wayne being his all time favorite actor. Jim passed away October 25, 2017 at his home in Lake Park at fifty-three years of age. He is survived by his wife, Kellie Jones; daughter, Nichole (Seemorn) Keokhamthong of Sioux Center, Iowa; daughter, Natalie Jones of Lake Park, Iowa; son, James Jones of Lake Park; son, Jericho Jones of Lake Park; daughter, Kadda Jones of Lake Park; daughter, Kaelianna Jones of Lake Park; five grandsons and two granddaughters; his father, Larry Jones; two brothers, Greg (Tammy) Jones and Gary Jones; one sister, Tammy (Keith) Cook; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Jones; grandson, Zachari Jones; grandparents, an uncle and aunts.
