A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim Roth,67, of Milford, will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 24th from 5:00-7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery on October 20, 2018 at 3:00pm.
James Francis Roth, the son of Linus and Mardella (Meister) Roth, was born February 24, 1950 in Carroll, Iowa. He attended Carroll Kuemper Catholic School and several years later, he moved to the Lakes area.
On July 9, 1988, Jim was united in marriage to Renae Rice in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Jim was an over the road semi driver his entire life. He also enjoyed camping, tractor rides, joke telling, fishing, casinos, dancing to polka music and spending time with friends.
He was a member of the Northwest Iowa 2-cylinder Club and the Bull Haulers Association.
Jim passed away at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-seven years of age.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Roth and her special friend, Dustin Myers of Everly, Iowa; son, Michael Roth and his wife, Kristin, of Milford, Iowa; step-son, Rodney Whitecotton and his special friend, Chris Baschke of Milford; grandsons, Colson Hanna and Alex Whitecotton; granddaughter, Shelby Whitecotton; sisters, Bonnie Heim, Beverly Brown and Lee Brown; several nieces, a nephew, cousins and several friends he had yet to meet.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Mardella; wife, Renae Roth; son, Frank Roth; special friend, Bonnie Beyerink; niece, Amy Brown and several other family members waiting to greet him.
