Joan Heidrick

Joan Eloise Heidrick, daughter of Madeline Marshall and George Heidrick, was born November 13, 1933 in Virgil, Kansas. After completing her education, she worked as a teacher in the public schools. She was a long time resident on Big Spirit Lake and was known affectionately as the "Keeper of the Lake". Joan passed away on October 28, 2014 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at eighty years of age. She was survived by her sister, Charlotte (Bill) Smith of California; niece, Carol Evens of Arkansas; nephew, Jim Heidrick of Ohio and several friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no formal services at this time.
