A funeral service for JoAnn Killmer, age 74, of Spencer, will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church in Spencer. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
JoAnn H. Killmer, the daughter of Orese (Allard) and Urban Noethe, was born February 5, 1943 in Granville, Iowa. She attended school in Iona, Minnesota and Sheldon, Iowa before graduating from Everly High School.
On January 12, 1963, JoAnn married Roger Killmer in Spencer, Iowa. JoAnn provided home day care and enjoyed doll crafting. She made hand crafted dolls and sold them at craft shows. JoAnn was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years.
JoAnn passed away April 27, 2017 at her home in Spencer at seventy-four years of age.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Killmer of Spencer; son, Bob (Jackie) Killmer of Royal, Iowa; daughter, Sherry (Mark) Greiner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Julie Bringle of Spencer, Iowa; sibilings, Phyllis (Jeff) Gillespie of Primghar, Iowa, Joyce Sandelin of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Barb (Bob) Conrad of Fallon, Nevada, Butch (Sue) Noethe of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Evelyn Noethe of Sioux Falls, South Daota; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; three brothers, Tom, David and Jim Noethe.
